Purse · iPhone · coming soon

Don't log what you spent. Keep what you didn't.

Every spending app asks you to type in money after it's gone. Purse asks one question before: what are you not doing for the next few days? Pledge it, tick it each evening, and watch the jar fill with what stayed in your pocket.

How it works

A pledge is a promise with a number on it.

Make a pledge

“No delivery food for 3 days, about $22 a night.” Pick one from the deck or write your own. Three days is a promise you'll actually keep.

Tick it each evening

Kept or slipped. That's the only daily action. No number pad, no receipts, no categories to remember.

Watch the jar

Kept days drop coins in. A slip ends your chain but never the jar. What you didn't spend, by month and by habit.

The number is yours

The amount per kept day is your own estimate, and Purse says so. It's a motivational number, not an accounting one.

Nothing leaves your phone

No account, no sign-up, no bank links, no analytics. Pledges live on your device and in your own iCloud.

Share the month

One card: what you kept and your best chain. Dollar amount optional, for the shy.

Why it's free

Keeping money shouldn't cost money.

Purse is our way of giving back, the same as Routines and Focus. Every pledge, the jar, the widget and the share card are free for everyone. Nothing is locked and nothing auto-renews. If it helps you and you'd like to support more apps like it, there's a tip jar in the You tab. No pressure at all.

Coffee$1.99
Pizza$4.99
Dinner$14.99
Tips never auto-renew. You're always in control.

Start with one routine. Or just three goals.

Routines and Focus are on the App Store for iPhone, free forever. Purse is coming soon.
